Taz isn’t your average trainer. Known as the “Form Queen” for her meticulous technique, she empowers clients to transform their bodies and minds through mindfulness and intentional movement patterns.

Taz’s passion began with her own journey of overcoming self-doubt and extra pregnancy weight, she discovered the power of fitness and made it her mission to help others achieve the same feeling of empowerment in all that they do. She incorporates biomechanics into the fitness world to better gauge how muscles, bones, and joints work together when we move.

Octogenarian Shakuntla Saini on Aging Gracefully

Ms. Shakuntla started her life’s journey in North India, daughter in a family of nine siblings. Despite the customs of the time, she forged ahead to build a career as a registered nurse in the ’60s. She immigrated to the USA in the ’70s and had a career in nursing for over 50 years, retiring from Kaiser finally at age 65.

Now, at 82, she is an active member of the Indian seniors’ community, where she performs and choreographs regional dancing, writes and recites poetry, and participates in special functions. She exercises, despite the many excuses someone her age could have! For her family she prepares delicious and healthy cuisine daily, and she loves trying out new recipes.

She will speak to us about aging gracefully by maintaining a positive attitude, having courage through life’s challenges, and building mental toughness. As a cancer survivor and immigrant she overcame many challenges, and as a young adult in the ’60s persevered as an independent career woman before marrying and starting her family.

She inspires seniors in the Bay Area through her dance, poetry recitals, beautiful dress, and delicious cuisine. Come meet Ms. Shakuntla and grab your slice of wisdom and inspiration on aging gracefully!

Videep Raj on Nutrition Gaps

Videep began his health journey with the initial goal of losing weight. After achieving a significant portion of this objective, he shifted focus to reversing his diabetes by adopting a healthier diet, incorporating small workout routines into his busy schedule, and monitoring his sleep and hydration levels.

Leveraging his experience, he explored nutritional gaps in people’s diets and started assisting others through in-person or virtual wellness clinics.
